Day 1

Arrival Day: La Paz

Arrival at La Paz´s airport, you will be taken to your selected hotel. Overnight stay at the selected hotel.

Day 2

La Paz

Breakfast at the hotel.

HD Tiwanaku (Ceramic museum + Kalasasaya Temple + Puma Punku + Visit Crops potatoes&quinoa).Pick up from the hotel to begin the excursion of Tiwanaku Archaeological Complex, an antique pre-Inca archeological city that is located 72 km from La Paz city. We will visit Ceramic Museum, important temples such as Akapana Pyramid, Semi-subterranean Temple, Kalasasaya Temple next to the famous “The Gate of the Sun”, Ponce Monolith and Puma Punku). Return to La Paz and small stop to visit crops of potatoes and quinoas. Arrival at the hotel.

HD City Tour La Paz (La Paz Downtown +Cableway) + Moon Valley Pick up from the hotel and visit the Traditional Markets from La Paz city, sightseeing San Pedro Jail. Then, we will take the cableway from where we can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of La Paz. And visit Moon Valley it is located 10 km. from downtown of La Paz´s city. They are impressive formations, composed mainly of clay and were created by the persistent erosion of mountains by the area’s strong winds and rains. Finally, we will visit the Historic Center of La Paz where we will visit Witches´ Market (here, we will understand the Andean way of thinking and their mystery), San Francisco Church, Murrillo Square, Executive Palace, Legislative Palace, Metropolitan Cathedral and Killi Viewpoint. Overnight stay at the selected hotel.

Day 3

La Paz – Sun Island – La Paz

Breakfast at the hotel.

FD La Paz – Sun Island + Typical Lunch (Aphtapi) + Chañi Floating Island – La Paz Pick up from the hotel in La Paz and transfer to the Bus Station to board the Tourist Bus until Copacabana (3,810 masl). This trip takes 3 and a half hours approx. On route, we will cross the strait of Tiquina by motorboat (20 minutes). It is the narrowest portion of the lake dividing the minor lake (Wiñaymaka) and major lake (Chucuito). Arrival to Copacabana and we will walk to the port in order to board on a speed boat (50 minutes) until Sun Island where we will visit Pilcokaina Palace and enjoy a nice lunch that is called Apthapi, it is prepared with: potato, dried-potato, broad bean, husked wheat, cold cheese, banana, boiled or fried egg and others. To then take a panoramic walk to the Community of Yumani where we will visit the famous Inca Garden, Sacred Fountain of Incas and Yumani Stairway. We will return to Copacabana, with a short stop next to the Chañi Floating Islands (where we will appreciate the handwork of the famous Andean reeds). Arrival at Copacabana and visit the Catholic Church and Local Market. We will continue to La Paz and transfer to the hotel.

Day 4

Transfer Out: La Paz

Dia 2
La paz

Desayuno en el hotel.

HD Tiwanaku (Museo de Cerámica + Templo Kalasasaya + Puma Punku + Visita Papas y quinua). Recoja del hotel para comenzar la excursión al Complejo Arqueológico Tiwanaku, una antigua ciudad arqueológica preincaica ubicada a 72 km de la ciudad de La Paz. Visitaremos el Museo de Cerámica, templos importantes como la Pirámide de Akapana, el Templo Semi-subterráneo, el Templo Kalasasaya al lado de la famosa “La Puerta del Sol”, el Monolito de Ponce y Puma Punku). Regreso a La Paz y pequeña parada visitar cultivos de papas y quinua. Llegada al hotel.

Tour por la Ciudad de La Paz (Centro de La Paz + Teleférico) + Valle de la Luna Recogida en el hotel y visita a los mercados tradicionales de la ciudad de La Paz, visitando la cárcel de San Pedro. Luego, tomaremos el teleférico desde donde podremos disfrutar de una maravillosa vista panorámica de La Paz. Y visitar Moon Valley se encuentra a 10 km. del centro de la ciudad de La Paz. Son formaciones impresionantes, compuestas principalmente de arcilla y fueron creadas por la persistente erosión de las montañas por los fuertes vientos y lluvias del área. Finalmente, visitaremos el Centro Histórico de La Paz donde visitaremos el Mercado de las Brujas (aquí entenderemos la forma de pensar andina y su misterio), la Iglesia de San Francisco, la Plaza Murrillo, el Palacio Ejecutivo, el Palacio Legislativo, la Catedral Metropolitana y Mirador de Killi. Noche en el hotel seleccionado.

Día 3
La Paz – Isla del Sol – La Paz

Desayuno en el hotel.

FD La Paz – Isla del Sol + Almuerzo Típico (Aphtapi) + Isla Flotante Chañi – La Paz Recojo del hotel en La Paz y traslado a la estación de autobuses para abordar el autobús turístico hasta Copacabana (3,810 msnm). Este viaje dura 3 horas y media aprox. En ruta, cruzaremos el estrecho de Tiquina en lancha motora (20 minutos). Es la porción más estrecha del lago que divide el lago menor (Wiñaymaka) y el lago mayor (Chucuito). Llegada a Copacabana y caminaremos hacia el puerto para abordar una lancha rápida (50 minutos) hasta la Isla del Sol, donde visitaremos el Palacio Pilcokaina y disfrutaremos de un buen almuerzo llamado Apthapi, preparado con: papa, seca- patata, habas, trigo descascarado, queso frío, plátano, huevo cocido o frito y otros. Para luego dar un paseo panorámico a la Comunidad de Yumani donde visitaremos el famoso Jardín Inca, la Fuente Sagrada de los Incas y la Escalera Yumani. Regresaremos a Copacabana, con una breve parada al lado de las Islas Flotantes de Chañi (donde apreciaremos el trabajo manual de las famosas cañas andinas). Llegada a Copacabana y visita a la Iglesia Católica y al Mercado Local. Continuaremos a La Paz y traslado al hotel.

Noche en el hotel seleccionado.

Día 4
Traslado de salida: La Paz

Desayuno en el hotel.
